“Winter” is an abstract neo-classical dance piece inspired by Vivaldi’s powerful composition and the visual artistry of the exhibition. Choreographed by Julie Caprio and performed by Hayley Monek, the piece explores the idea of stillness within movement — a balance between control and release that mirrors the rhythm of the changing season.

When performing “Winter,” Hayley describes feeling completely free and deeply connected to the music. The striking contrasts in tempo and intensity within Vivaldi’s score become a playground for expression, allowing each movement to echo the emotion and texture of sound. This original choreography, created by Caprio specifically for Hayley, celebrates both the precision of classical form and the spontaneity of artistic flow.
