Where Time Breathes brings together a new body of work by Xiaochuan that explores the quiet relationship between memory, landscape, and perception. Rather than depicting a particular place or moment, the paintings create spaces where stillness and movement, absence and presence, coexist. Each work invites viewers to experience time not as a linear sequence, but as an atmosphere—one that unfolds through rhythm, attention, and contemplation.

Working with a visual language that embraces both restraint and openness, Xiaochuan transforms familiar forms into poetic landscapes of thought. Mountains become states of mind. Empty space becomes a place of possibility. What appears silent gradually reveals its own internal rhythm, encouraging a slower and more attentive way of seeing.
