ART CONCEPT
Since childhood, the ancient bond between man and horse has captivated me. This intrinsic connection, both immanent and transcendent, fosters an insatiable thirst for understanding. Through horse riding and sharing my life with my equine companion, I immerse myself daily in the world of the Centaur.
This intimate relationship expands my perspective on the world, inspiring my multidisciplinary artistic work. Specifically, I focus on exploring the symbiotic relationship between man and horse, a profound link that extends to our connection with nature.
In my artistic endeavors, I contemplate the physical body, the etheric body, and their vibrational frequencies. These frequencies, circulating between the universe and each origin, hold the power to influence the energy of others. Through the unique bond with horses, we tap into the essence of nature, fostering a deep gratitude for the cosmic generosity that sustains us.
The natural training method of horsemanship that I study is a burgeoning science born in the 1970s, constituting a branch of behavioral science. Derived from observing the behavior and states of horse herds in the natural environment, natural horsemanship involves a set of body language techniques to communicate with horses. Through this, we enable horses to comprehend the desires and expectations
The trainer and, in turn, the horses respond in their own way, facilitating cross-species communication on a profound level. Throughout the process of training and communication, the horse’s behavior serves as a mirror reflecting the emotional changes within us. Thus, the relationship between humans and horses, forged over time, is considered a mutual growth journey where both horse and rider develop together. This connection establishes a sense of responsibility and security, offering solace to the trainer‘s soul.
In today’s rapidly advancing human society, horses have transitioned from being food sources, labor slaves performing strenuous tasks, war companions, and modes of transportation. Despite these
changes, they continue to serve as invisible guides between urbanized living and the natural world. They bring forth a peculiar form of psychological healing, intertwining the mystical connection between horses and nature.
ABOUT
Growing up in Beijing, China, my artistic journey began at the age of 3 when my mother, recognizing my passion for drawing, introduced me to my first art teacher. In 1995, I embarked on my formal artistic education at the High School of Fine Arts in Beijing.
My academic pursuits took diverse paths, including studies and internships in interior architecture from 1999 to 2002, followed by German studies at the Goethe Institute in Beijing from 2002 to 2006. Subsequently, I delved into the French language at the Catholic University of the West in Angers from 2008 to 2010.
In 2015, I achieved a significant milestone by graduating from the Versailles School of Fine Arts in Plastic
Arts, specializing in a multitude of disciplines such as engraving, photography, and sculpture.
From 2012 to 2016, I embraced a unique facet of my life as a rider at Haras de Jardy, simultaneously engaging in research on equine ethology. This exploration, conducted in collaboration with professionals, aimed to deepen our understanding of the profound relationship between man and horse—an alliance that has shaped human development for over 7000 years.
